Mammootty and Kaniha to share screen space in Abrahaminte Santhathikal
Mega Star Mammootty will start filming for his next movie named Abrahaminte Santhathikal from January 5 this year and the Pooja function of this movie was held on the eve of new year day. Debutant director Shaji Padoor will direct this investigation thriller which has been scripted by Haneef Adeni who had made his debut as a director last year, through Mammootty starred movie The Great Father.
As per the latest reports, Kaniha will play Mammootty’s heroine in this movie and it will be her 5th movie with Mammootty after movies like Pazhassi Raja, Drona Bavoottiyude Namathil, and Cobra. Joby George will bankroll this project under the banner of Goodwill Entertainment and Mammootty will play a Police officer character named Derrick Abraham in this flick.
Along with Mammootty, artists like Anson Paul, Renji Panicker, Siddique, Suraj Venjarammoodu etc will also be a part of the star cast of this movie. Shaji Padoor, the director of this movie, had worked as an assistant director for 15 years here in Mollywood. This vastly experienced filmmaker had announced his first project on the birthday of Mammootty last year.
He said that Mammootty is playing a cop role but not like one that he had played in Kasaba two years back. We will also see him in a cop role in his next release named Street Lights as well.
