Mammootty – Renjith team to come up with Vamban!
Reports are coming in that Mega Star Mammootty is all set to play the male lead in next Renjith movie, which is scripted by the director himself. As per reports, they will start the shooting of this film in this coming November at Calicut and it has been titled as Vamban. This will be a mass movie from Renjith and he had written a mass character for Mammootty this time. Reports say that Renjith all set to go back to his earlier days when he scripted mass action-oriented movies like Narasimham, Aarm Thamburan, Ravana Prabhu, Valyettan etc.
Renith’s previous Super Star movie was Loham with Mohanlal in the lead. It was a success in box office due to the star value of Mohanlal, but not received great reviews from critics and audience. It was a movie that caught up between Renjith’s effort to mix up mass and class in a single plot. Then he had done a movie named Leela with Biju Menon in the lead. But that too had the same issue faced by Loham and it was a box office failure too. So, this time, he wants to make a complete mass movie named Vamban, which will satisfy the audience who loves his commercial movies. Mammootty and Renjith last united for a movie named Kadal Kadannoru Mathukutty and it was a box office disaster.
