New Censor Rules forced Guppy to postpone its release date!
Guppy starred by Tovino Thomas is one of the much-awaited movies of this season and it was directed by debutant John Paul George. The trailer and songs of the movie had made a big impact in Social Media and even the posters of this movie made it an eagerly anticipated movie for film lovers here in Kerala. They had planned to release it on 29th July at first but the new rules by censor board had forced them to postpone its release date to August 5. Now everyone had to wait till August 5 to see Guppy on the big screen. The team behind the film had explained why they had to postpone the movie through their official Facebook page.
As per the new censor rules, the film had to be uploaded in QUBE before submitting before the censor board for the certification process. The Guppy team had got the censor date of 28th July after completing this process. So it will be difficult for them to release the movie a day after its censoring and that is why they had postponed the date to next week.
Apart from Tovino Thomas, artists like Master Chetan, Rohini, Sreenivasan etc also playing important characters in this movie. The look of Tovino in this movie had gone viral in Social Media when its first look poster was out.
