Villain grossed over 20 crores from its worldwide run
Mohanlal starrer movie named Villain directed by B Unnikrishnan is doing so well in box office even after getting mixed responses on its opening day here. The film had already got past the 20 crore mark from its worldwide run and its total business had crossed 33 crores as well.
The flick had grossed around 15 crores from Kerala till now and its rest of India gross is around 2 crore. The flick had set a new record in Tamil Nadu as it had got the best ever opening in Tamil Nadu box office for a Malayalam movie by grossing around 27 lakhs from its first 3 days. Villain now surpassed the lifetime Tamil Nadu gross of Mammootty’s The Great Father and that too in just 4 days- time.
It also surpassed the lifetime US gross of The Great Father in just 4 days- time. It had grossed over 16 Lakhs from its first weekend there. Villain is doing well in Gulf countries too. It became the second best box office performer there in its first weekend after a Hollywood movie. The 3 day gross of Villain in UAE/GCC had gone past 3 crore mark.
Now, the worldwide collection of this flick is gone past 20 crore mark. The budget of the film is 22 crore and the producer Rockline Venkatesh already became safe with profit. The Kerala distribution of this movie has been done by director B Unnikrishnan himself and 8 crore share from here will make him safe as well. The Kerala share of the movie had already gone past 6 crores and it is sure to make the profit here in the coming days.
